Ventilation

Is your roof breathing properly? Sounds funny, but, like you, a roof needs to breathe in and out. Ideally, air moves into the soffit vents and out through the top exhaust vents. This enables the shingles to last longer and is required by Certainteed for the extended warranty.

We use the best heavy duty vents that are out there, as well as heavy duty kitchen and bathroom vents. All of the vents we use (exhaust or louvered exhaust) are made of heavy duty galvanized metal, as opposed to plastic or flimsy metal (aluminum) vents. These vents are specifically designed to provide wind, fade and water resistance and are the most rodent-resistant on the market.
